We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Fuel Sales Manager to lead our sales office, manage a small team of three sales professionals, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales leader who enjoys developing people, building lasting customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. You’ll lead from the front, supporting your team while managing key customer accounts and helping shape the future direction of our sales operation.
Key Responsibilities
As Fuel Sales Manager, you will:
- Lead, motivate and develop a small team of three sales staff, creating a positive, high-performing sales culture.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing commercial customers, ensuring exceptional levels of service and account retention.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the commercial, agricultural, industrial and domestic fuel markets.
- Work closely with customers to understand their fuel requirements and provide tailored solutions that deliver value.
- Maximise sales opportunities by promoting the full range of United Fuels products and services, including fuel cards, lubricants and specialist fuels where appropriate.
- Monitor individual and team performance against sales, margin and customer service targets.
- Coach and support team members through regular reviews, training and performance development.
- Ensure accurate order processing, customer records and CRM management.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across operations, logistics and customer service to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Produce regular sales reports and forecasts, identifying trends and opportunities for further growth.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism while representing the values and reputation of United Fuels.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a sales management or senior account management role.
- Experience within the fuel, lubricants, logistics, transport or related industries would be advantageous.
- A proven track record of developing business and managing customer accounts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability as well as customer satisfaction.
- A proactive, organised and target-driven approach.
- The ability to make decisions confidently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
