Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (full time equivalent)
Hours: Full-time role (It is expected that the appointee will work to assist evening and weekend activities by
agreement)
Tenure: Fixed term to end of June 2027, with the aspiration for the post to be permanent after May 2027 local election results are evaluated.
Location: East Hampshire constituency and home

Purpose of the job
The Liberal Democrats are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person who can manage a team of volunteers and build campaigning capacity in the East Hampshire constituency.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the work in one of the most winnable parliamentary seats for the Liberal Democrats.
Working with the Parliamentary Candidate, you will deliver campaigning activity and build the infrastructure and organisation necessary to elect a Lib Dem MP in the constituency at the next General Election.
Job Description:
- Take overall responsibility for delivering the agreed constituency campaign plan, as agreed between the Regional Campaigns Manager, our East Hampshire Parliamentary Candidate and the local Liberal Democrat teams.
- Building campaigning and organisational capacity – including recruiting members, donors, deliverers and poster sites.
- Building and managing a team of constituency volunteers who oversee all aspects of capacity building and campaigning.
- Delivering an ongoing programme of doorstep communication with voters.
- Maintaining and updating social media, website and other digital infrastructure.
- Organising events e.g. action days, social events, etc.
- Maintaining relevant databases e.g. deliverers, donors, poster sites etc.
- Assisting with the production, print, and coordination of delivery of campaign literature.
- Attending relevant conferences, training and other meetings as required.
Person Specification:
The following criteria are considered essential:
- Exceptional personal organisation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, mobilise and manage volunteers.
- Excellent written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, self-motivating and able manage own workload.
- Familiarity with current issues within UK politics and sympathy with the values and principles of the Liberal Democrats.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
The following criteria are desirable:
- Experience of delivering effective Liberal Democrat campaigns.
- Experience of Liberal Democrat software and databases (e.g. Affinity Publisher, Connect and Lighthouse)
