As a key member of the Finance team, the Assistant Accountant contributes to the accurate upkeep of financial records, supports the processing of day-to-day transactions, and helps ensure adherence This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to broaden their expertise and develop their skills in a structured, collaborative environment.

Your role:
· Post and allocate customer receipts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
· Perform bank reconciliations
· Oversee the sales ledger; including managing customer accounts with complex billing structures
· Oversee the purchase ledger; including processing supplier payments accurately and on time
· Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring ongoing accuracy and completeness
· Liaise with internal departments to gather financial data and resolve queries
· Perform any other finance or administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
· Qualified to AAT level 3 or higher
· Proficiency in accounting software (previous experience with SAGE 200 desirable)
· Strong command of Microsoft Excel

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial work
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
