Trainee Sales Manager – Nottingham City Centre
Full Time | Career Progression | Immediate Start Available
Are you confident, ambitious and motivated by success? We’re looking for an outgoing, career-driven individual to join our Nottingham team as a Trainee Sales Manager. Based in our newly renovated city centre office, this is the ideal opportunity for someone with drive and personality who wants to build a long-term, high-earning career in sales and leadership.
What we offer:
- Competitive base pay with uncapped commissions, bonuses and incentives
- Realistic first-year earnings of £28,000–£32,000 OTE
- A defined pathway: start in Customer Service & Sales support, learn the business, then move into senior sales and management in 6 to 12 months (performance-based)
- Full training from day one and one-to-one mentorship with experienced leaders
- Modern, social and high-energy working environment
- Recognition, rewards and travel opportunities for top performers
The role:
You’ll begin in our Customer Service & Sales department, learning how our energy-brand clients serve their customers: the products, tariffs, switching services, client base needs and internal sales processes. You’ll engage face-to-face in residential, B2B and B2C campaigns, build your knowledge of our customer base and supporting services, gather key information and support the wider sales team.
As you develop, typically within 6 to 12 months (subject to performance), you’ll transition into senior sales activity: closing deals, mentoring others and taking on campaign leadership. From there, you’ll progress into a full management role — leading your own team, driving results and shaping the direction of the sales department. No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided.
What we’re looking for:
- Extroverted, confident and people-focused personality
- Ambitious, target-driven and passionate about personal development and leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive mindset with a strong desire to learn, lead and succeed
- Previous sales or customer-facing experience is an advantage, but not essential
Why FOCUS

There’s no seniority system — your progression is based purely on performance. You’ll work Monday to Friday, with weekends free, in a young and ambitious office environment that thrives on success. Regular conferences, industry events and company galas provide the chance to learn, network and be recognised for your achievements.
