About the Role:
Glasgow is known for its strong commercial base, practical workforce, and active construction supply sector, and at GMC Gypsum Services, we bring that same reliable and organised approach to materials support. We help customers and internal teams manage stock updates, material requests, order information, supplier communication, and daily coordination with accuracy and care.
We are looking for a Materials Support Coordinator who can support day to day materials and supply activities while keeping communication clear between customers, warehouse teams, suppliers, and management. You are not just updating stock records or checking order notes; you are helping coordinate materials, follow up on requests, track important details, and make sure support tasks are completed properly.
You will work closely with warehouse, procurement, customer service, and operations teams to make sure material information is accurate, customer requests are handled professionally, and daily support activity stays organised.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment: Our Glasgow location provides a practical and team focused workplace where clear communication, reliability, and attention to detail matter every day.
Organised Materials Support: We believe smooth supply operations come from accurate records, clear processes, and consistent follow up. Your work will help keep material requests, stock updates, and internal coordination structured and dependable.
Customer Focus: We support customers who rely on timely updates, accurate information, and practical help with material related requests. You will help maintain a professional and reliable service experience.
Growth: This role is suitable for someone who wants to build a stable career in materials coordination, warehouse support, procurement assistance, customer service, or operations support.
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Coordination: Assist with material requests, stock updates, order information, supplier follow ups, and routine materials related administration.
Stock Record Support: Maintain accurate product records, inventory trackers, order notes, delivery updates, and internal material documents.
Customer Communication: Respond professionally to customer queries, provide clear updates, request missing information, and escalate complex concerns when required.
Warehouse and Supplier Coordination: Work with warehouse staff, procurement support, and suppliers to confirm availability, track updates, and support daily material flow.
Process Follow Up: Monitor pending requests, missing details, delivery updates, stock questions, and workflow issues to make sure tasks are completed properly.
Reporting: Prepare simple stock summaries, order updates, issue logs, and activity reports for supervisors or management.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in materials support, warehouse administration, stock coordination, procurement support, customer service, or operations support is preferred.
Organisation: You can manage multiple requests, update records accurately, and follow materials support processes carefully.
Communication Skills: You can write clear emails, speak professionally, and coordinate confidently with customers, suppliers, warehouse staff, and colleagues.
Attention to Detail: You notice missing information, stock errors, order issues, and follow up gaps before they become bigger problems.
Tooling: You are comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, shared files, inventory records, order trackers, and basic business systems.
Mindset: You are dependable, practical, and calm under pressure. You know how to prioritise tasks, follow up properly, and keep materials support moving.
Pay: £2,250.00-£2,650.00 per month
