Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing loss, and providing excellent customer service at various venues. This role requires a confident presence, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to any incidents. All applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and be committed to upholding high standards of safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Monitor entry points and conduct thorough ID checks to verify age and identity of all visitors
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unwanted behaviour and ensure a safe environment
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or damage
- Respond promptly to incidents, disputes, or emergencies, applying conflict resolution skills as necessary
- Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring prompt and appropriate care is administered
- Enforce venue rules and regulations consistently, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and health & safety standards
- Record incident reports accurately and communicate effectively with team members and management
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- First aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly when required
