Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with children through active listening, encouragement, and consistent support
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs and goals
- Support children with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational pursuits
- Monitor and record behavioral progress, incidents, and achievements accurately in documentation systems
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Assist in planning therapeutic activities that promote emotional well-being and social skills development
- Drive children safely to appointments or activities as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or therapeutic setting is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with young people from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving license and experience driving children or vulnerable individuals is preferred
- Strong understanding of child development principles and behavior management techniques
