Full Day Saturday cover every week required (9am to 1pm with possible further 4 hours at sister branch afterwards.... but not essential)
We are seeking a dedicated UK university Pharmacy Student (NOT FINAL YEAR STUDENTS PLEASE) to join our team on Saturdays. This paid position offers valuable experience in a professional pharmacy environment, supporting both pharmacists and patients. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about healthcare, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent patient care. This role provides an excellent opportunity for pharmacy students to develop practical skills and deepen their understanding of medication management and patient support.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution under supervision
- Support with medication administration procedures as directed by licensed staff
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Organise and maintain pharmacy stock levels, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organised
- Help with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations
- Support the team during busy periods by managing customer flow efficiently
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a recognised UK pharmacy degree programme (not final year students please)
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with patients and team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety standards
