We are looking for an experienced Senior Bakery Production Manager to lead and support the effective running of our new late shift bakery production. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing experience, good leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate people, priorities, and workflow in a busy environment with a strong food safety, HACCP and compliance knowledge, excellent people management and leadership skills, and a practical, hands-on approach.
This is an important hands-on leadership role, helping to maintain production performance, support quality standards, resolve day-to-day issues, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
We are looking for someone who has:
· previous experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role, with confidence supporting teams in a busy operational environment.
· Previous experience supporting team leaders, coordinating multiple production areas, or acting as a senior point of contact on shift
· Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, people, and workflow effectively.
· A practical, reliable, and quality-focused approach, with good problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of safe working practices.
· Knowledge of production planning
· Understands the importance of quality, safety, and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities will include:
· Lead and support late shift production team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality expectations
· Working closely with production management and other departments to achieve business objectives
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
· Assist in procurement of all raw materials required
- Ensure that all BRC policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to.
- To enforce, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, policies & procedures to ensure all responsibilities associated with BRC and general procurement are met.
- Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on all relevant matters.
- To be aware of and enforce all Health, Hygiene & Site Safety rules.
- If trained, certified and required, operate Lift Truck according to licence and Operator’s Safety Code.
- If trained, Inspect the vehicle (forklift) daily to ensure its ability to function safely
- Key holder to open and close the factory.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management.
Pay: £35,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
