Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive landscape maintenance including pruning, trimming, mowing, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate a variety of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and hand tools with precision and safety.
- Use mechanical equipment like excavators for planting, removal, or landscaping projects requiring heavy-duty machinery.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution and prevent issues such as leaks or blockages.
- Conduct routine inspections of trees and plants for pests, disease, or structural issues; implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design or improvements by preparing sites and installing features like retaining walls or pathways.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools and machinery to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or related fields demonstrating knowledge of plant care and landscape design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating power tools and heavy machinery such as excavators.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Construction experience involving site preparation or installation work is a plus.
- Strong understanding of horticultural practices including pruning techniques, soil management, and pest control.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Prior experience working with hand tools and power equipment essential for efficient landscape care.
