Tangerine MCR is a vibrant food, drink and entertainment venue in Manchester, bringing together great food, cocktails, live entertainment and events across a unique multi-space venue.
We are looking for energetic, reliable and hardworking Runners / Servers to join our front-of-house team and help us deliver a consistently brilliant guest experience.
The Role
As a Runner / Server, you will be an essential part of the FOH team, supporting the smooth running of service across our restaurant, bar and events spaces.
You will work closely with the kitchen, bar, servers, hosts and supervisors to make sure food and drinks reach guests quickly, tables and areas are kept clean and presentable, and guests receive friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
This is a fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys being on their feet, working as part of a team and being around a busy hospitality and entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food and drinks to tables quickly, accurately and professionally
- Support servers and supervisors throughout service
- Ensure food is delivered to the correct table and guest
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables and guest areas
- Keep front-of-house areas clean, organised and presentable
- Support with setting up and closing down the venue
- Assist with events, parties and larger bookings
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar and FOH team
- Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the venue, menus and key guest information
- Follow all food safety, health and safety and service procedures
- Help maintain a positive atmosphere and high standards throughout service
- Be proactive and look for ways to support the wider team without always being asked
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the smooth running of the venue
What We're Looking For
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, bar or events experience is preferred
- A positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working at pace and on your feet for extended periods
- A genuine interest in delivering great customer service

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy event dates
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is energetic, switched-on and genuinely enjoys hospitality.
You don't necessarily need years of experience. We can teach the right person our systems and service standards, but you must have a great attitude, be willing to learn and be comfortable working as part of a busy team.
You'll need to be someone who notices when a table needs clearing, when a colleague needs support or when something needs doing, and gets on with it.

Hours
Flexible hours available, with a requirement to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.
