The Wood Bar is an independent coffee business that has proudly served Salisbury and the surrounding community for over five years.
What started as a single coffee bar has grown into a thriving local business with two permanent locations: our original site within Parkwood Health & Fitness and our Five Rivers Leisure Centre café, which has now been successfully operating for three years. Alongside our cafés, we’ve taken our coffee on the road to festivals, city centre events, Christmas markets, parks, and pop-up locations across the South.
We’re passionate about great coffee, exceptional customer service, and creating welcoming spaces where customers genuinely enjoy spending time. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Barista to join our team.
The Role
This is a full-time position working across our Parkwood and Five Rivers locations. You’ll become part of a friendly, hardworking team that takes pride in delivering excellent coffee, delicious food, and outstanding customer experiences.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being busy, takes initiative, and genuinely loves working with people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffees, teas, and drinks
- Delivering friendly, professional customer service
- Preparing and serving food in line with food safety standards
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness throughout the café and customer areas
- Keeping tables cleared, cleaned, and ready for customers
- Washing up and maintaining a clean working environment
- Replenishing stock, rotating products, and receiving deliveries
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
- Helping create a positive atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hospitality, café, or customer service experience
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A genuine passion for coffee and customer service
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
