Accounts Manager – Stratford-upon-Avon

Clark Wood are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Manager, Client Manager, Accounts Assistant Manager or Senior Accountant looking to progress their career within a successful and growing accountancy practice.
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses (OMBs), SMEs, partnerships and limited companies, providing accounts, financial reporting and commercial accounting support while working closely with Partners and the wider team.

As an Accounts Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accounts and compliance work is delivered to a high standard while developing strong client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, partnerships and limited companies.
- Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP.
- Reviewing management accounts and financial reporting for a range of clients.
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and working alongside tax specialists.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive accounting and business advice.
- Managing client deadlines, workflow and budgets across your portfolio.
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional value through advisory services.
- Reviewing work completed by Accounts Seniors, Semi Seniors and trainees.
- Supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience with strong practice experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients, ideally owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and UK GAAP.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- The ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines and support junior team members.
