Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our dedicated team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals to identify vehicle issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts as required for repair or replacement
- Execute welding tasks to repair or modify vehicle components when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or accessories on vehicles
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or a related mechanical field is preferred but not essential; relevant training or apprenticeships will be considered
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical principles
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair tasks
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving skills if necessary
