FRA Carpenters Required | Eastbourne
J Squared are currently looking for 4 experienced FRA Carpenters to join an upcoming project in Eastbourne.
The project is due to commence on Monday 14th September and will run for approximately 3 weeks, with the potential for further work depending on project requirements.
The role will primarily focus on the installation of fire doors, with additional responsibility for fire door maintenance, inspections and remedial works. We are looking for experienced operatives who can work to a high standard and have a strong understanding of fire door installation and compliance.
The Role:
As an FRA Carpenter, your responsibilities will include:
- Installing fire doors and associated components
- Carrying out fire door remedial and maintenance works
- Ensuring installations are completed to the required specification and standard
- Identifying and rectifying defects where required
- Working from drawings, specifications and site instructions
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
- Working alongside the wider site team to ensure works are completed on schedule
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as an FRA Carpenter / Fire Door Installer
- Strong experience specifically with fire door installation
- Good knowledge of fire door regulations, standards and installation requirements
- Experience carrying out remedial and maintenance works
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and a professional attitude
- Previous experience working on commercial or refurbishment projects would be advantageous
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold:
- Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card
- Asbestos Awareness
- Manual Handling
- Working at Height
BM TRADA or other recognised fire door qualifications would be highly desirable.
