We are looking for an experienced, dedicated professional to fill the role of Head Chef. The ideal candidate for this position has experience preparing both creative and classic cuisine, is well versed in restaurant industry policies, and has strong time management skills. The Head Chef has primary responsibility for the kitchen staff with a focus on the overall health and cleanliness of the work environment. This position offers a great deal of independence and flexibility while working with a team of talented professionals who share their commitment to exceptional cuisine.
We are looking for candidates that have real passion and flair for fresh, seasonal fayre, working on a small menu that has opportunity to change monthly rather than seasonally, to really make sure that our food has a story behind it and is used when at its best.
We look to support other small independant businesses and suppliers and be a real hub for the local community whilst also developing a reputation that brings in guests from further afield.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire and mentor your team.
- Ensure that the kitchen and food areas complies with all legal criteria and operate at a 5* EHO level at all times..
- Develop the next generation of kitchen legends.
- Produce and develop menus that have personality and highlight all that is good and great from the local area.
- Present food that draws the eye.
- Produce dishes that live in our guests memories and entice them to revisit.
- Have knowledge of nutritional requirements and health restrictions of different foods.
- Be able to cost menus that offer value to both the guest, the business and our suppliers.
- Help produce our idea of proper 1st class hospitality within a pub environment.
- Work in conjunction with suppliers, producers and growers.
- Push the boundaries of what can be construed as 'normal' in a pub environment.
- Help with the development of our offer across the range of our growing company.

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
