Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible Support Workers to work in a lovely home setting near Maidstone, ME17. Our client is a wonderful young adult with Cerebral Palsy. He is a story-loving, song-singing superstar who uses an AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) system to express himself. He adores music, stories, theatre and film and loves having a meaningful connection with people who truly understand.
Experience is preferred and a Level 2 certificate in Social Care is desirable, however not mandatory as training can be given. We require someone who Is reliable, nurturing and person-focused. Someone who Is confident (or willing to be trained) in PEG-feeding and hoist use. Someone who will eventually work independently after training.
Driver with own car is essential. Need to be confident to drive a larger vehicle, training can be given. You will be part of a small care team mostly covering around college hours and college holidays, which could be days, nights and weekends. This young person loves being out and about, and particularly loves swimming, singing, and music.

Weekday rate - £17.00p/h
Weekend rate - £17.50p/h.
Sleep in Night rate - £NMW - £12.21ph
Bank holidays – time and a half
Duties will include:
Personal Care (bathing/showering/toileting/etc.)
Manual handling (assistance with transferring/hoisting).
Administering medication
Record keeping
Preparing and serving meals/snacks
Light domestic duties
