The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you will collect your route from the Amazon Delivery Station and deliver parcels safely and professionally to customers.
Your day will typically involve:
- Attending the delivery station for your scheduled start time
- Completing your vehicle and safety checks
- Loading your parcels
- Following your allocated delivery route
- Delivering parcels safely to customers
- Using the delivery app to complete deliveries correctly
- Taking appropriate delivery photographs where required
- Contacting customers where necessary
- Following safe driving requirements at all times
- Returning any undelivered parcels to the station at the end of your route
- Keeping management informed if you experience problems during your route
Our onsite management team will monitor routes throughout the day and provide support when needed.
Who We Are Looking For
You do not need to be an experienced delivery driver.
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable
- Punctual
- Comfortable driving for extended periods
- Able to work independently
- Physically able to get in and out of a vehicle throughout the day
- Comfortable delivering parcels in different weather conditions
- Able to use a smartphone and delivery applications
- Polite and professional with customers
- Safety conscious
- Willing to learn
- Able to follow instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Most importantly, if you say you are available to work, we expect you to turn up.
Previous Experience
Experience in any of the following can be useful but is not required:
- Multi-drop delivery
- Courier work
- Parcel delivery
- Food delivery
- Taxi/private hire driving
- Van driving
- Warehouse or logistics work
Drivers with previous Amazon DSP or multi-drop delivery experience are particularly welcome.
What You Will Need
You must:
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Meet the required right-to-work requirements
- Be able to complete the required onboarding and background checks
- Be comfortable driving safely in residential and commercial areas
- Be willing to work weekends where required
- Have a smartphone or be comfortable using a delivery device/app
Any additional licence or insurance requirements will be explained during the recruitment process.
Working Days
Our operation runs 7 days a week, so we can offer opportunities across weekdays and weekends.
We are particularly interested in drivers who can provide good weekly availability.
The more reliable availability you provide, the greater the opportunity for regular route allocation.
