Provide nursing leadership to the Continence team to improve the standard of service delivery and give them confidence in the future of the services. Stimulate and support a culture of evidence-based Health Care. This includes involvement and taking the lead in clinical research projects. Ensure that there is a robust professional nursing infrastructure.
Take on a leadership role and expertise in professional nursing issues in providing the expert knowledge in Continence for the Trust. Leading on all professional issues relating predominantly to the field of Continence and complex continence management. Please refer to Job description and personal Specification for outline of skills, knowledge and experience required. Be an influential member of relevant nursing discipline within CLCH and the local health economy.
In conjunction with the other professional lead nurses, ensure that professional nursing standards are met. To facilitate interagency and multi-professional working to promote and maintain an integrated service to patients and clients. To encourage staff to develop their clinical services according to local needs and prioritise and to support the development of changing nursing roles leading to Continence and the Management of complex continence. This may include providing expertise to primary care such as practice nurses and provider teams such as DNS.
To be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate advice, support and supervision is available to nursing staff working to protect both vulnerable children and adults.
