Accounts Administrator

The correct candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the finance and administration function. Working closely with the finance team, will help maintain accurate financial records, process invoices and payments, reconcile accounts, and support reporting activities to ensure the business operates efficiently. They will be a dependable point of support across the department helping to keep financial processes organised, compliant, and running effectively while building strong working relationships across the organisation.
What we offer for the position of Accounts Administrator:
- £13.00 - £14.00ph Depending on skill level and experience.

- Hourly Paid Part-time Shift: 3 Days (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday) 09:00 – 15:00.
- 18 Hours Per Week Permanent contract of employment.

Role of Accounts Administrator includes:
- Working closely with the Accounts Manager and supporting the wider finance and administration team.
- Based at the Syston site
- Assist with processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and supplier payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the preparation of financial records, reconciliations, and reports to ensure accurate accounting information is maintained.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation, records, and filing systems.
- Help monitor outstanding payments, assist with account queries, and support month-end finance activities.
- Liaise with departments across the business to ensure financial information is communicated effectively and administrative processes run smoothly
Requirements for the position of Accounts Administrator:
- A genuine interest in finance and administration, with a proactive and organised approach to supporting day-to-day accounting activities.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes; previous finance or accounts experience is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail when handling financial records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills—you can communicate professionally and work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, to maintain and update financial information.
- Health, safety and environment compliance.
