ASR Operative
Starting from £12.71 P/H with overtime and overtime rate available
Hours
Monday to Friday 07.00 am - 17.00 pm. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required and overtime will be paid at a higher rate.
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and motivated ASR Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day operational duties safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Operating and monitoring ASR equipment and machinery.
- Following site procedures, safety requirements, and operational instructions.
- Sorting, handling, and processing materials as required.
- Carrying out routine checks and reporting any equipment faults or issues.
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets.
- Completing basic records and reporting operational issues to supervisors.
- Following all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
- Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures.
- Safety-conscious with a good attitude towards health and safety.
- Physically capable of carrying out the duties required for the role.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good at communicating with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Previous experience in a recycling, waste, manufacturing, warehouse, or plant environment is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
