Roadways are seeking experienced experienced HGV drivers ideally with grab wagon or low loader experience.
To start July 2026.
The role:
As an HGV Driver at Roadways, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of plant, materials, and equipment to various sites. You will carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure compliance with road transport regulations, and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Current Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Proven experience driving HGV vehicles
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable, professional, and punctual approach to work
Desirable:
- Previous grab wagon experience
- Previous low loader experience
- Plant machinery transport experience
- HIAB certification
- Experience working within the construction, highways, or civil engineering sectors
