Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all culinary standards are met, including cooking and food production.
- Manage the organisation of the bar area, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards across all operations.
- Assist with serving customers, taking orders, and providing exceptional hospitality experiences.
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
- Train new staff members on service procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to foster a motivated team environment.
- Collaborate with management on promotional activities and optimise sales opportunities.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in bars or similar venues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with serving procedures, hospitality standards, and customer service excellence.
- Ability to oversee food safety compliance and maintain high hygiene standards at all times.
- Previous barista experience or expertise in beverage preparation is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and guests alike.
