Sales assistant day-to-day duties and responsibilities:
- Rotate and replenish stock and keep the store tidy
- Place goods in a specific area during a sale or promotion to maximise sales
- Assisting customers by advising them on products and helping to find what they need
- Being up to date with pricing and product availability to assist customers quickly and efficiently
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained and communicating with the broader team when they are not
- Processing customer payments and transactions at till
- Assisting visual merchandisers with displays and in-store aesthetics
- Handling customer queries and complaints appropriately
- Promoting offers and promotions and working towards KPIs you may have for store cards or rewards

Summary
As a Sales Assistant, you will be instrumental in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication and negotiation skills. Reporting to the Store Managers, Assistant Manger and Supervisors. Your role involves engaging with customers, assisting them with product selections, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. Your core skills in communication and numeracy, combined with premium abilities in merchandising , will empower you to meet diverse customer needs. Additionally, your organizational skills and time management will be vital in maintaining an efficient sales environment. As the living and breathing face of the business on the shop floor, your role as sales assistant’s duties should include honouring the brand and promoting a positive image of the company.
