About Electrified Motors
Electrified Motors develops advanced electric motors and powertrain technologies for electrified vehicle and industrial applications.
We're growing rapidly and moving into a brand-new engineering facility in September 2026, complete with expanded development and testing facilities and an on-site gym.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to help develop electric motors, powertrain components and electro-mechanical systems from concept through to production.
This is a hands-on role involving design, prototyping, testing and product development.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role.
- Advanced SolidWorks skills.
- Experience using PLM/PDM systems (3DEXPERIENCE desirable).
- Strong understanding of:
- Technical drawings
- GD&T
- Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Tolerance stack analysis
- Knowledge of:
- Sealing systems and lip seals
- Gears and splines
- Rotating machinery
- Experience designing electro-mechanical products.
- Understanding of electric motor topologies, characteristics and performance.
- Ability to size and select motors using performance data.
- Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and testing.
Desirable
- Powertrain or drivetrain design.
- Electro-hydraulic systems.
- Automotive, EV, motorsport, aerospace or industrial machinery experience.
