Power Engineering is looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Foreman to lead our workshop team and drive operational excellence across our engineering and maintenance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer, senior technician or current foreman who enjoys leading people, maintaining high standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to an exceptional quality.
As Workshop Foreman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of workshop operations, providing technical support to the team, coordinating workloads and helping to develop the next generation of engineers.
What You'll Be Doing
· Leading and supervising workshop technicians and apprentices.
· Planning and allocating work to ensure jobs are completed safely and on time.
· Providing technical guidance and support on diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
· Driving high standards of quality, productivity and workshop performance.
· Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
· Monitoring workshop resources, tools and equipment.
· Supporting employee training, coaching and development.
· Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to deliver excellent service.
What We're Looking For
· Previous experience in an engineering, mechanical, electrical, plant, commercial vehicle or industrial workshop environment.
· Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
· Strong technical and fault-finding skills.
· Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
· A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
· Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
