We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Barista to lead in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for coffee craftsmanship, leadership skills and the ability to manage daily operations efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to inspire a team, uphold high standards of food safety, and create a welcoming environment for all our customers. The Head Barista will be responsible for maintaining the quality of beverages, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations, ensuring high standards of service and product quality are maintained at all times.
- Lead and motivate the barista team, providing training and guidance to uphold best practices in coffee preparation, looking after the equipment and customer service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
- Manage food safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Helping out and supporting smooth daily operations across the business.
- Maintain stock inventory
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Monitor time management within the team to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods.
What we would like you to bring:
- Proven experience as a Barista with an interest and strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a coffee shop environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling is essential.
- Competence in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy, with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
- Energy: you’ll be multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team environment
- Great communication skills, you’ll be a real people person and team player
- You’re also detail-focused, reliable and organised with a pro-active, hands-on attitude
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
