Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and assembly tasks
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and maintenance procedures
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop efficiency
- Carry out heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or components safely
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts utilised for each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and advising on vehicle care
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Car Mechanic or similar role with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair methods
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are preferred but not essential
