Ready to lead, influence and make a genuine difference?
At Lifeways, we're passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred support that enables people to live the lives they choose.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Positive Behaviour Support Specialist to join our national Specialist Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on clinical expertise with leadership, coaching and service improvement across one of the UK's largest supported living providers.
You'll lead a small team of dedicated PBS Practitioners, manage some of the organisation's most complex referrals and work alongside operational teams to develop innovative, evidence-based support that improves quality of life for the people we support.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in driving high-quality Positive Behaviour Support across the South region by:
- Leading and supporting a team of Specialist Support Practitioners.
- Managing a clinical caseload, including our most complex referrals.
- Completing Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing high-quality Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Coaching managers and support teams to implement effective, least restrictive interventions.
- Providing expert guidance following complex incidents and supporting post-incident reviews.
- Analysing behavioural data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding outcomes.
- Championing person-centred approaches and promoting best practice across services.
About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about Positive Behaviour Support and enjoys developing others as much as delivering excellent outcomes for the people they support.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Behavioural Science, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Significant experience developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience carrying out Functional Behaviour Assessments.
- Leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach and develop others.
- Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries or mental health needs.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Why Lifeways?
As one of the UK's largest supported living providers, you'll be joining a national team that is committed to improving lives through evidence-based, person-centred support.
This is an opportunity to influence practice across multiple services, develop your leadership career and work alongside passionate colleagues who genuinely want to make a difference.
If you're looking for a role where your expertise will have a lasting impact—not just on the people we support, but on the teams you lead—we'd love to hear from you.
