Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or concerns
- Assist with food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations
- Support food preparation and organisation in the kitchen area when required
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and process transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
- A proactive attitude with excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
