Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricators to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and adhere to safety standards. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling and fabricating components that meet our specifications.
Working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 07:25 - 15:55pm & Friday 07:30 - 13:30
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and organise materials for the fabrication process.
- Safely load and unload materials onto machinery or workstations.
- Follow work orders and production schedules to ensure timely material availability.
- Set up and operate various fabrication machinery, such as cutting, bending, grinding and welding equipment.
- Perform finishing tasks, such as grinding and polishing to meet product requirements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Maintenance Team.
- Assist in identifying and addressing non-conformities or quality issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication processes.
- Adhere to ECS’s quality procedures, standards and specifications.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn as indicated in the supplied Risk Assessment.
- Raise any issues with the Production Supervisors/Team Leaders
- Ensure work area is safe, clean and tidy at all times
- Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role.
Experience
- Ability to read fabrication Drawing Symbols
- Experience in plating/welding in structural steel industry
- MAG/Mig weld experience
- Experience with multi run and butt welds
- Working thickness ranges 5mm to 50mm
- Solution focused
- Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
- To assist with other department activities when required by your line management along with other duties required for efficient working.
