JOB SUMMARY
The Role: Warehouse Operative / Driver
Lesters Logistics are a growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering warehousing, fulfilment, distribution and value-added logistics services to customers throughout the UK. We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / Driver, who will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately, safely and on time.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods in, stock control, order picking, packing, forklift operation and local deliveries using company vehicles.
Accuracy, reliability and a proactive attitude are essential.
Key Duties
· Pick customer orders accurately using our Warehouse Management System.
· Use handheld barcode scanners throughout the picking process.
· Pack customer orders to a high standard.
· Receive, check and book stock into the warehouse.
· Put stock away into the correct warehouse locations.
· Carry out stock replenishment and stock counts.
· Safely load and unload vehicles.
· Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
· Deliver customer orders using our Luton van and small delivery van.
· Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
· Assist with container unloading and general warehouse duties.
· Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
· Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
· Work as part of the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have sufficient warehouse and pick & pack experience ideally within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment, Mintsoft Warehouse Management System (or another WMS) and/or Multi-drop delivery experience.
They will also:
· Able to work independently as well as being a team player
· Be willing and motivated to continuously strive to improve.
· Have a good work ethic
· Have a full UK Driving License.
· Have a Valid Counterbalance Forklift License.
· Previous warehouse and pick & pack experience in a similar environment
· Experience using handheld barcode scanners.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good communication skills.
· Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
