About the Role
This is a key site-wide role responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the whole site, including production areas, offices, yards and external areas.
Working closely with the Technical Team, you will complete daily and weekly tasks based on site inspections and identified areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities - To include but not limited to
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, housekeeping and Health & Safety across the site, including production, offices, communal and external areas.
- Complete cleaning, waste removal, PPE management, equipment cleaning and general housekeeping tasks to agreed standards and timescales.
- Follow BRCGS, cleaning and safe working procedures, including the safe use of chemicals and equipment.
- Work closely with the Technical Lead to identify and resolve issues and maintain site standards.
- Report any concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the site in meeting the requirements of BRCGS audits, Environmental Health inspections and customer visits.
- Work effectively as part of a small team while maintaining a clean and organised environment.
Skills & Experience
- Able to work under your own initiative to a consistently high level.
- Excellent communicator, able to accurately feedback and report information.
- Excellent attention to detail and can think outside the norm, identify better ways of working, areas requiring attention whilst having the strength to implement at speed.
- Problem-solving abilities and determination to see the job through.
- Flexible and willing to support the site team, contribute across other areas if necessary.

- Food Safety & Hygiene Certification level 2.
- Knowledge of controls within the business for BRCGS and legal audits.
- HACCP level 2.
