Warehouse Operative (no weekend work)

Salary: From £12.71 per hour, with a pay review after successful completion of a 12-week probationary period.
Hours: Approx 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Witch Group is a family-owned independent wholesaler of flooring and garden products, operating from our warehouse and distribution centre in Altham, Accrington.
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role, if you enjoy being active, working as part of a team and take pride in doing a job well, we'd love to hear from you.
Previous warehouse experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
THE ROLE
As a Warehouse Worker, you'll help ensure customer orders are picked, prepared and dispatched accurately and on time while maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.
This role involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting, including moving carpets, flooring and other large products, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable carrying out this type of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Moving, storing and organising stock throughout the warehouse.
- Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the working day.
- Checking orders for accuracy and carrying out quality checks before dispatch.
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are completed on time.

- Have good attention to detail and take pride in completing work accurately.
- Be able to work well as part of a team.
- Have previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential).
- Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
