We are looking for an individual to Join Us as a 5 Years Fixed Term, Estates Project Support Officer in our Estates Capital Team. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the team/Department you will be joining:
The successful candidate will join the Estates Capital Team, working with a small team of dedicated individuals, to support the team with capital policies, procedural documents and producing management information reports on behalf of the business area.
The role will predominantly be Located at our Police Headquarters, Bridgend, whilst working from project locations as required.
The team works Monday-Friday though do sometimes support the occasional evening and weekends.
About the role and your key responsibilities :
We are looking for a 4 Year Fixed Term, Project Support Officer to support Estates Capital Projects facilitating major refurbishment of our existing estate and the design and construction of new buildings which are operationally critical to the service South Wales Police provides.
The successful candidate will support a wide range of works including stakeholder engagement, facilitate contractor site visits and organise minor works projects as suitable.
The role can be challenging due to the wide range of duties undertaken, however is very rewarding upon completion of projects.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and influencing skills. Must be able to develop, monitor, implement systems and procedures and maintain quality standards and demonstrate site management and quality control skills.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
