The Three Chimneys Smokehouse – The Jubilee Hotel, Weymouth
The Three Chimneys Smokehouse, located within The Jubilee Hotel on Weymouth seafront, is looking for a reliable and flexible Delivery Driver & General Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied role combining local food deliveries with general support duties across the restaurant and hotel.
Pay & Delivery Allowance
- National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage applicable to your age
- Plus £2 per completed delivery within the Weymouth & Portland areas
- Applicants will use their own vehicle for deliveries
The Role
Your main responsibility will be delivering food orders safely, promptly and professionally to customers throughout the Weymouth and Portland areas.
Applicants must have their own reliable car, a full valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance permitting the vehicle to be used for food deliveries.
When you are not out making deliveries, you will assist the wider Three Chimneys Smokehouse and Jubilee Hotel team with a variety of general duties.
Duties will include:
- Delivering food orders throughout Weymouth and Portland
- Checking orders are complete and correct before leaving
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Packing and preparing takeaway and delivery orders
- Washing up and helping to keep work areas clean and organised
- Overseeing the hotel car park and assisting guests with parking where required
- Swapping and moving laundry between relevant hotel areas
- Restocking and supporting the restaurant and hotel teams
- Carrying out general duties as required during quieter delivery periods
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures
- Representing The Three Chimneys Smokehouse and The Jubilee Hotel professionally at all times
What We're Looking For
Applicants will need:
- Their own reliable car suitable for deliveries
- A full valid UK driving licence
- Appropriate insurance covering food delivery/work use
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- A friendly and professional manner
- Confidence dealing with customers and hotel guests
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever required
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
Knowledge of Weymouth and Portland would be beneficial but is not essential.
Previous delivery, hospitality or customer service experience would be helpful, although training can be provided.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on position, combining driving, customer service and general duties rather than being in the same place throughout their shift.
