Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, and mobility
- Deliver person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing
- Follow care plans and report any changes in residents’ needs to senior staff
- Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date care records
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and visitors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment in line with health & safety and infection control standards
Person Specification
Essential
- A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach
- Good communication skills (spoken and written English)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards of care
- Understanding of dignity, safeguarding, and person-centred care
Desirable
- Previous experience in a care setting (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Care Certificate
- Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care
- Awareness of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Hours
- Full-time – 36 hours per week
- Shifts worked over a 7-day rota (including weekends and bank holidays)

- This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
