Here at GXO, we are working together with Wickes and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Kitchens & Bathrooms home delivery team in Warrington. You will work as part of a two-person crew, helping to deliver products safely and providing excellent customer service at every stop. There is also an opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Programme, so you can earn while you learn and continue developing your logistics career.
You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Tuesday to Saturday, with start time window of 05:00 to 06:00, contracted to 45 hours per week.

As a Drivers Mate, you’ll receive:
- An annual salary of £29,741.00
- Overtime pay at £21.71 per hour (paid after 45 hours worked)

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, on time and in excellent condition
- Provide a professional, first-class service that meets and exceeds customer expectations on every delivery
- Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with customers throughout the delivery journey
- Support with the safe handling of Kitchens & Bathrooms products, including heavy items, while following all company policies and procedures
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A standard Category B driving licence
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive, flexible attitude
- Good timekeeping and the ability to work unsupervised when required
- The willingness and physical ability to complete regular heavy lifting and manual handling
- Flexibility around shifts and duties
- Previous home delivery experience is desirable, but not essential
