Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, always respecting individual preferences and privacy
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure consistent, high standards of care
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing tailored care plans for residents in collaboration with the wider care team
- Maintain clear communication with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Use IT systems accurately to record resident information, update care records, and document any incidents or changes in condition
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful activities and fostering a warm, friendly environment
- Drive residents to appointments or outings using company vehicles when required, ensuring safety at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a care home environment or senior care setting with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans development and adherence to regulatory standards for elderly care
- Valid driving license with experience driving various vehicles preferred for transportation duties
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Ability to work flexibly across shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
