As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organised and motivated Operations Administrator to support the day-to-day delivery of our operational services.
Purpose of the Role
The Operations Administrator plays a vital role within the Operations Team, ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional and seamless service. The successful candidate will provide administrative support across all operational activities, liaise with customers and suppliers, and assist with the coordination of waste collections, deliveries and service requests.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Commercial & Operations Manager and wider Operations Team.
- Raise and process supplier work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule new waste collections, container deliveries, exchanges and removals.
- Liaise with customers regarding service requests and operational enquiries.
- Communicate with suppliers to arrange collections and resolve service issues.
- Monitor operational inboxes and ensure emails are responded to promptly.
- Update customer records and operational systems accurately.
- Assist with the onboarding of new customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of waste transfer documentation and service information.
- Track outstanding jobs and ensure completion within agreed service levels.
- Resolve missed collections and customer complaints quickly and professionally.
- Support the preparation of reports and operational performance data.
- Assist Finance by providing operational information where required.
- Ensure all administration complies with company procedures and waste legislation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Operations Department.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the Commercial & Operations Manager.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Professional, positive and customer-focused attitude.
Desirable
- Experience within the waste management, logistics or service industry.
- Experience using CRM or operational management software.
- Knowledge of waste collection processes and environmental compliance.

Reporting Structure
The Operations Administrator roles report directly to the Commercial & Operations Manager and works closely with the wider Operations, Finance, Sales and Commercial teams to ensure the smooth delivery of services to customers across the UK.
Pay: £26,250.00 per year
