Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support the kitchen team with food safety practices and hygiene protocols
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and portioning as required
- Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Assist in organising ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow
- Support catering events by setting up and serving food when necessary
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals to guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a professional kitchen environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
