Hours: 15hours per week, flexible Monday to Friday with occasional weekends
Salary: £13,633 (£33,620 full-time equivalent for a 37 hour week)

Engaging Communities South West (ECSW) is a not-for-profit organisation working across Torbay and the wider South West. Paignton Community Hub (PCH), based in Paignton Library, offers accessible information, signposting and practical support to local people. The Hub supports people with a wide range of needs, including help with forms, access to services, health and wellbeing information, and connections into local voluntary, community, social enterprise and statutory support.
Job Purpose:
Paignton Community Hub is a welcoming community space that helps local people access information, support, activities and services that improve their health and wellbeing. The Hub works closely with voluntary, community, health and public sector organisations to ensure residents can find the help they need.
The Paignton Community Hub Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the Hub continues to grow, develop and demonstrate its impact. While frontline staff provide day-to-day support to visitors, the coordinator oversees service delivery, supports partnerships, gathers and analyses data, monitors outcomes, develops opportunities for growth and helps ensure the Hub remains responsive to local needs.

The role also works closely alongside the Paignton Community Hub and Torbay Helpline, ensuring that community intelligence, emerging needs and opportunities are shared across services to support a coordinated approach to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for local people.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Coordinating Service Delivery
· Oversee the effective delivery of services provided through Paignton Community Hub
· Support and guide Hub staff to ensure services are delivered consistently and to a high standard
· Ensure systems and processes support effective day-to-day operations
· Identify opportunities to improve the quality, accessibility and reach of Hub services
· Help ensure the Hub remains responsive to changing community needs.
Monitoring, Data and Reporting
· Lead on the collection and collation of Hub data, outcomes and customer feedback
· Monitor service activity, trends and emerging community needs
· Produce reports for ECSW management, trustees, funders and partners
· Develop case studies and impact information that demonstrate the value of the Hub
· Ensure data is recorded and managed accurately and in accordance with GDPR requirements
· Support monitoring and reporting requirements for funded projects and programmes
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with local voluntary, community, health and statutory organisations
· Work with partners to develop activities, services and opportunities that benefit local residents
· Attend partnership meetings, community forums and networking events on behalf of the Hub
· Promote collaborative working and identify opportunities for joint projects and initiatives
· Act as a key link between the Hub, partner organisations and the wider community
Service Development and Sustainability
· Contribute to the ongoing development of the Hub and its future priorities.
· Identify opportunities to strengthen the Hub’s offer and increase community engagement
· Support the development of funding applications, project proposals and partnership opportunities
· Help ensure the Hub can demonstrate its impact and attract future investment
· Contribute ideas that support innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement
Communications and Promotion
· Support the promotion of Hub services, activities and achievements
· Coordinate content for newsletters, social media, website updates and promotional materials
· Help raise awareness of the Hub amongst local residents, partners and stakeholders
· Promote success stories and positive outcomes arising from Hub activities
General Responsibilities
· Work collaboratively as part of the ECSW team
· Ensure compliance with ECSW policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality, equality and diversity, health and safety and data protection
· Participate in training, supervision and team meetings
· Undertake other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the role
Person Specification
Essential:
1. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
2. Ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and partners
3. Experience of coordinating services, projects, programmes or community activities
4. Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
5. Experience of collecting, analysing and presenting data and information
6. Ability to produce clear reports for a variety of audiences
7. Strong administrative and IT skills, including experience using spreadsheets and databases
8. Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries
9. Good understanding of community needs and health and wellbeing issues
10. Proactive, solution-focused and able to work independently
11. Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Desirable:
1. Experience working within the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector
2. Knowledge of services and support available across Torbay
3. Experience of monitoring and evaluation, impact measurement or outcomes reporting
4. Experience of developing partnerships and collaborative projects
5. Experience contributing to funding applications or grant reporting
6. Experience supporting communications, marketing or social media activity
7. Understanding of community development and asset-based approaches
