About ePropelled
ePropelled is a power and propulsion solutions provider focused on the rapidly growing uncrewed vehicle and robotics markets.
We design and deliver advanced electric propulsion solutions combining motors, power electronics, control systems and software for applications across air, land and sea.
Our customers include OEMs, system integrators and organisations operating across commercial, critical infrastructure and defence markets.
As ePropelled continues to grow internationally, we are expanding our product management capability to ensure that customer requirements, market opportunities and technology development are translated into clearly defined, commercially successful products and solutions.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of key elements of ePropelled's propulsion product portfolio.
This is a technically oriented product management role sitting between customers, commercial teams and engineering.
You will develop a deep understanding of our customers, applications and markets and use that understanding to define product requirements, establish priorities and shape the product roadmap.
Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations and other Product Managers in the UK, US and India, you will help ensure that ePropelled develops products that solve genuine customer problems while delivering strong commercial returns.
The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed technical discussions with engineers and customers and broader commercial discussions around market positioning, pricing and portfolio strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap
· Develop and maintain product strategies and roadmaps for assigned areas of the ePropelled propulsion portfolio.
· Translate market trends, customer requirements and commercial opportunities into clear product priorities.
· Define the value proposition, target applications and commercial positioning for new and existing products.
· Make clear recommendations regarding product investment, prioritisation and lifecycle decisions.
· Ensure development activity remains aligned with customer requirements and commercial objectives.
Customer & Market Understanding
· Develop a detailed understanding of customers, applications and operational requirements across the uncrewed vehicle and robotics markets.
· Work directly with customers and the commercial team to understand current and future product requirements.
· Analyse competitors, alternative technologies and emerging market trends.
· Identify gaps in the existing portfolio and opportunities for new products or solutions.
· Convert customer feedback into structured and prioritised product requirements.
Product Definition & Development
· Act as the commercial and customer voice within the product development process.
· Develop clear product requirements and work with Engineering to translate these into technical development programmes.
· Participate in product design reviews and key development decisions.
· Work with Engineering and Project Management to balance technical performance, cost, timescale and market requirements.
· Challenge requirements and priorities where appropriate to ensure that development resources are focused on the areas creating the greatest customer and commercial value.
Product Lifecycle Management
· Own products through their complete lifecycle, from initial market opportunity and business case through development, launch, growth and eventual replacement or obsolescence.
· Monitor product performance, customer adoption, profitability and market relevance.
· Develop and maintain product improvement and replacement strategies.
· Coordinate product changes and obsolescence plans with Engineering, Operations, Sales and customers.
· Ensure appropriate product documentation and commercial information is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
Commercial & Pricing
· Work with Sales and Finance to develop appropriate pricing strategies and commercial models.
· Understand product cost, market pricing and customer value when making pricing recommendations.
· Support customer opportunities where product or application expertise is required.
· Help move the commercial conversation from individual components towards integrated propulsion systems and solutions.
· Support the development of business cases for new products and major product investments.
Product Launch & Go-to-Market
· Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Operations to prepare products for successful market introduction.
· Define product positioning, key benefits and target applications.
· Support the creation of product documentation, sales tools, training materials and technical marketing content.
· Provide product training and technical support to commercial teams.
· Gather feedback following launches and incorporate learning into future development.
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Act as a key link between customers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and senior management.
· Build alignment around product requirements and priorities where different functions may have competing objectives.
· Work collaboratively with Product Management colleagues across the UK, US and India.
· Provide clear recommendations supported by customer, technical and commercial evidence.
· Drive decisions and actions without relying on formal authority.
Experience & Background
We are looking for someone who combines strong product-management capability with sufficient technical understanding to operate credibly in an engineering-led business.
You are likely to have:
· Experience in product management within an engineering, technology or manufacturing organisation.
· Experience managing technically complex physical products or systems.
· A good understanding of electrical, electronic, electromechanical or software-controlled products.
· Experience working closely with engineering teams through product development.
· Experience gathering and translating customer requirements into product specifications.
· Commercial understanding including pricing, product cost, margins and business cases.
· Experience undertaking market and competitor analysis.
· Experience managing products through multiple stages of their lifecycle.
Experience within electric propulsion, electric motors, power electronics, aerospace, UAVs, robotics, automotive, defence or other advanced engineering sectors would be particularly relevant, although direct industry experience is not essential.
What We Are Looking For
This role would suit someone who:
· Is technically curious and comfortable discussing complex products with engineers and customers.
· Starts with the customer/market problem rather than the technology.
· Can separate genuine market requirements from individual customer requests.
· Is comfortable making decisions where information is incomplete.
· Can challenge engineering, commercial and customer assumptions constructively.
· Understands both the technical and commercial consequences of product decisions.
· Can manage competing priorities and provide clear recommendations.
· Is comfortable operating in a rapidly growing business where processes and structures are still developing.
· Takes ownership and drives activity rather than waiting for direction.
This is not a purely marketing-focused Product Manager role, nor is it a project-management position. The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technology, the market and the commercial opportunity sufficiently well to make and influence meaningful product decisions.
Why Join ePropelled?

You will work directly with customers, engineers and commercial teams to influence products from initial concept through to market deployment, while helping define how ePropelled develops from a component manufacturer into a global propulsion solutions provider.
