Part-Time Warehouse Operative – Logistics & Parcel Sortation
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, sorting, scanning, and movement of parcels within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial in ensuring customer deliveries and collections are processed accurately and dispatched on time to meet operational deadlines and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and organise incoming and outgoing parcels according to destination, route, and delivery schedules.
- Scan parcels using handheld devices and warehouse management systems.
- Ensure all parcels are processed accurately to minimise errors and delays.
- Move freight throughout the warehouse using appropriate manual handling techniques.
- Maintain productivity levels to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist colleagues and supervisors during peak periods to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and safe working practices at all times.
