Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Low Loader Driver to join our Transport team. As a Driver at Green Power Plant Hire Ltd, you will be responsible for transporting all aspects of plant equipment to various locations across the UK. This position requires excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and good time keeping skills. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to change as each day will be different.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Low Loader
- Load and unload goods and materials (training will be given)
- Follow delivery schedules
- Communicate with customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid Category C&E (Class 1) driver's license
- Valid CPC card
- Previous experience as a delivery driver preferably within Plant Hire Industry or similar role is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
