We are looking for an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) to oversee two electrical teams working on a busy social housing programme in the Shrewsbury area.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for ensuring electrical works are completed safely, compliantly and in line with the agreed programme. You'll act as the key link between the site teams, Contracts Manager and client.
The Role
You'll oversee two electrical teams across the social housing programme:
- Rewire Team – carrying out electrical rewires within occupied and void properties.
- Kitchen & Bathroom Team – completing electrical works associated with planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
Supervisors responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day performance of both electrical teams.
- Ensuring works are completed to the required quality and electrical standards.
- Monitoring progress against the programme and keeping works on schedule.
- Liaising directly with the client and Contracts Manager.
- Providing regular progress updates and highlighting any potential delays or issues.
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring completed works meet required standards.
- Ensuring electrical certification and documentation is completed correctly.
- Supporting electricians with technical queries and resolving issues on site.
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed across all works.
- Maintaining a professional standard when working within occupied social housing properties.
What We're Looking For
The Supervisor will need previous experience working as an Electrical QS, Electrical Supervisor or Approved Electrician with strong knowledge of domestic electrical installations.
Ideally, you'll have:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
- Relevant electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds
- Experience supervising electrical teams
- Strong testing, inspection and certification knowledge
- Previous social housing / domestic refurbishment experience
- Experience with rewires and kitchen & bathroom programmes
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage workloads and keep multiple teams working to programme
- Full UK driving licence
