Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Mix paints, primers, and clear coats accurately according to specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes while adhering to safety protocols
- Perform touch-ups and corrective work to address imperfections or blemishes in the paintwork
- Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation, masking, and detailing tasks
- Conduct quality inspections of painted vehicles to verify color match, finish consistency, and defect-free surfaces
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels during the painting process or assembly stages
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and painting techniques
- Experience with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and masking equipment
- Proficiency with power tools used in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality paint application and finishes
- Excellent manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
- Must know how to use water based paint & 2k paint
- Prior experience in automotive body shops or vehicle painting preferred but not mandatory; training provided for motivated learners
