We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Control Room Operator to join our team.
As a Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in monitoring and responding to all incoming alarm signals, while providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients. You will be responsible for operating our advanced alarm system, dispatching appropriate personnel, and ensuring the timely resolution of issues.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to incoming alarm signals from various security systems within the Alarm Receiving Centre.
- Analyse and assess alarm situations to determine appropriate response protocols, including contacting emergency services, clients, or designated personnel.
- Carry out precise data entry and documentation of alarms, incidents, and responses in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct thorough investigations of alarm activations, identifying potential security breaches or system malfunctions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing critical information, and providing support during high-pressure situations.
- Perform system tests and routine checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all security systems within the Control Room.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to alarm monitoring and response procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay informed about new technologies and techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Attributes:
- Valid CCTV SIA Licence
- Previous experience as a control room operator or alarm monitoring specialist is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and other security-related technologies is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate alarm management software.
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern, including weekends and holidays
