The Assistant Financial Accountant will support the operational delivery of all financial processes within the Health Board's Financial Account section, particulary in regard to capital expenditure. The role ensures accurate, timely and well-governed financial information to meet statutory, regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
The post holder will contribute to ongoing process review and modernisation, including exploring opportunities to enhance efficiency through improved digital tools. Also, to propose and support improvements to financial practices and reporting system.
Support production of monthly and annual financial information in regard to capital expenditure. Lead in the maintenance of the UHB's Asset register and lease management systems which will involve working with a wide variety of individuals across all departments in the UHB.
The post holder will contribute to ongoing process review and modernisation, including exploring opportunities to enhance efficiency through improved digital tools. Also, to propose and support improvements to financial practices and reporting system.
Support production of monthly and annual financial information in the financial accounts team and to actively participate in cross cover to ensure continuity of services across the whole range of Financial Accounts and Services team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
