Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team for the summer season at the Iconic venue at Dreamland, Margate. The successful candidate will support the kitchen in taking responsibility for the cleaning of dishes an the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, as well as wash dishes you may be asked to help prepping food and pitch in wherever necessary to delivering high-quality meals, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining exceptional food safety standards.
We are looking for a candidate with a good attitude and preparedness to learn and assist the team in whatever way necessary.
Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications
- Support the team in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including workstations, pot wash and storage spaces
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold health standards
- Help with plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality expectations
- Aid the kitchen with cleaning duties.
- Support the team during busy service times, working efficiently under supervision to meet deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience not required. A positive attitude is the most important thing.
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary practices useful
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills.

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
